Goals/mission:

Notable past and current activities:
- The Writing Workshop: a free creative writing workshop for women to write stories about their lives
- Annual magazine launches for their literary magazine Sister Writes, which is written, edited, and published by Sister Writes and the Writing Workshop participants
- The Writing and Editorial Mentorship Program: for participants to receive support and feedback for their stories from professional women writers and editors
- The Facilitation Mentorship Program: for participants who want to adopt a leadership role in outreach workshops by becoming workshop facilitators
- Sister Writes in the Community Program: a free outreach program that provides creative writing workshops for local women’s agencies
- Neighbourhood Programs: allows the general public to participate in literary culture through creative writing workshops, events, and exhibitions
- Sister Writes on the Road: travelling across Ontario to deliver their programs and mentorship to women who have experienced trauma
